Yeah, well I'm about 500 miles overdue for an oil change. A friend of mine had a quart of oil in his trunk so we just topped it off a little until I get it changed on Wednesday...it didn't show up again after we did that.

Name Audi problems. Hmm... ABS module, shorted 02 sensor(that I fixed??), oil leak stinks, control arms are noisy, lol. I like the quote " Audis are like prostitutes, they only work when you throw money at them." Sad, but true.

i am looking at driver side tierod end right now and both cv boots....... i think after looking at the diy and my time for having my car down, plus tools in my garage, damn i need an air tank and even a small lift, oh wait i have that at work.........lol

i will also talk to them about my passenger sided tre, cause they have to break it loose and swing it out of the way to do the cv....... well actually both, so i am going to try and get a deal on labor to have all that shtuff fixed............ i will have almost a new car when it is time to get my turbo and clutch

well they jacked the price up 3 grand...... so i walked away, it was an 00 1.8t tip car with 105,xxx on it....... that would of been a fairly nice dd


but the wife and i were talking today....... and what might happen in the near future is she is supposed to get a nice little bonus, so we will be looking for a 1.8t avant......preferably b5.........


what i want to do is drive my car till it is paid for or i can find a nice little mini, non-charged, and buy that then dump my car........ or if mine is paid for and i can talk her into it........ it will go deep under the knife........ as in yank the motor....... and completely redo everything........ if i have a 01 avant, i might transplant the newly redone motor into it and put the older motor from the avant into the sedan then sell it out right

Well, Ive never seen pics of under the hood of your car...lol. saw it last year at the ACOA meeting though.
Already fixed a CV boot. And thats all 8 control arms acording to a tech friend that was at VW with me.
I like the sound of an Avant, plus your car going into surgury... BAT time, lol!

 

not if i get a clean 01 avant......... well, my car will go into surgery....... but just to have the motor go into the avant......... think about having a brand spanking used 01 1.8..... er i mean 2.0 motor in an avant.......


and **** if they make a kit......... go bigger....... strip the block completely... bore/stroke rods........ blah blah blah

i mean they make a 2.0 kit, but i think everything else is the same........ i will put work in that motor if i can
