Default Winter Driving

Hi There!
I just purchased my first Audi, a 2002 Quatro TT 5 speed, this past June.
I LOVE my car, but have a major concern living here in MI. How well do these cars do in winter?
Has anyone actually used the TT for their full time ride all year up here in the mid west

I'll be happy to hear from any of you with winter info - especially if it's good news!!

Not sure about the TT but my A4 quattro is awesome in the snow. I just use all season treads never had any problems. Cant wait for snow.

Yeah - I can't imagine a newer audi not being good in the winter, especially with blizzaks. I just put some MZ01 Blizzakss on my '01 a6 2.7t. Very nice. I drove a raodster last summer and was thinking that the car was heavy enough and audi enough that it would be fine in Minnesota winters.

Are you fucked in the head?
Nokians are the ONLY way to go. (Because they're not so ******' scary on dry pavement...)

Or you can put on snow chains, but they may be illegal where you live. I know they are in Minnesota.

I came here looking for some pics of good looking rims for my TT. (summer clothes-from a womans perspective) I thought I'd leave my winter tires on the original wheels and get something sharp for summer.

I did want to post that winter is over in Michigan and my little TT w/winter tires did just great.
(as you all said it would)
I WAS SO HAPPY I DIDN'T SLIP AND SLIDE - I CAN'T TELL YOU. I was able to get up my steep driveway every day, while the rest of the family had to park at the bottom.

Now, back to my wheel hunt. I would like to find a lightly used set of those 18" 9 spoke I see on some of the special edition Audis.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mikki

your tt will handle real nice in the winter. If it snows heavily though as it usually does in MI, you wont want to be speeding around because snow is snow, and also keep that esp on, other than that ... have fun being faster than other cars in the winter, some even that would normally be faster than your tt, not all sports cars get 4wheel drive
