Hi everyone! I am a new member to the forums but i have been viewing and using the information in the forums for a while now. I first wanted to thank everyone in these forums for all the awesome write ups and diy's. I respect and appreciate all the people providing all of this information. Its pretty much the reason i am joining here to say thanks as i just replaced my alternator and saved alot of money. I feel like the German car haters are just get it...but the forums like here and vortex is full of people who do
I drive a B5 2001 A4 Quattro 1.8 w 243xxx miles and it looks pretty damn good still...it drives like a champ and i love her......I first started my VaG obession when i was 16 and got a mk1 gti.....ive had a few others but this is my first Audi.
Using the information provided by these forums and taking a little time to make sure things are done correctly is something ive learned from trial and error....and knowing when to not take on a job thats above your skill level and without proper tools are other lessons learned. But knowing how your car works and what can wear out and when to change things can save you time and money and even be a little fun if done right.
So thank you to all the VAG car people who take the time to put all this info out there so an average car enthusiast can do what we love to do...

Hey All,
Used to be a member of the 20v list way back when. Have two boys now and had to get a honda for a bit but just bought an 04 TT 6sp. Went to a winter driving event in Francona NH and a summer one in limerock back in the day. Looking forward to being back on board. Any of the guys from then still around? Paul Royal? Peter Schultz? Cant remember names too well. If this sounds familiar to anyone out there, give a shout.
Looking forward to your wealth of knowledge and maybe a few conversations here and there.
Thanks,
Dave
