We have an 05 A4 that has been an OK car. A few weeks ago I placed a can of Monster (open, or course) on the area directly in front of the gear shifter. The ash tray opened causing the Monster to spill over the shifter. Now the button occasionally sticks, prohibiting the car from going into either Drive or Reverse. Messing with it always solves the problem, but I would like to know if anybody know a way to correct this? We have a new car coming arriving in about 3 weeks, and I don't need any reason for the dealer to further devalue the trade-inn cost. Anybody know of a fix?
