i took my shift **** off cuz some spare change had fallen into the space where the PRNDS is and the spare change was preventing me from putting the car in "S". long story short i took it apart and got the spare change out, but when i went to put the shift **** back on i noticed that the thumb button wasnt popping back out. it stood engaged, and the PRNDS on my cluster is lit up entirely every single one instead of just the gear that im using. i've tried disconnecting the battery, hitting the shift **** a few times, checking the fuses, placing a strong magnet over it, i even searched for the shift override and couldnt find one and i dont have the owners manual. any ideas??? anyone ever had this issue? obviously i would like to save a few bucks and not have to go to junk yard or buy a new shift **** so any help is appreciated... thanks in advance
