Well this is the first time i looked at it so...
Not knowing the condition of either car the main problem with the Audi would be if the timing belt hasnt been replaced and its breaks that will cause major damage other than that if the civic really is a POS then i would trade him!

I just traded my 96 2.8 A4Q in for a 2001 1.8TQ. If the civic is really bad then ya, but first you need to know how many miles are on the A4 2.8. If your looking for mods & all that, then this Audi isnt the car for you. I was only able to do minor things that really didnt effect too much of performance like intake, exhaust, and throttle body. I have a buddy with a 94 civic hatch w/ a b16 and he would always win in a race hands down. I have another buddy with a 95 integra with an ls/vtec & about 10k in other parts and my car was just a joke. I had the slowest car of all my friends, but i was always rollin really clean in my nice Audi. So in my eyes, you have alot of questions you need to ask yourself before you trade your car for his. Also now that i have my 1.8T, stock i beat my friend with the b16, & my buddy with the ls/vtec is more in my range, but after mods i KNOW i got it all day long. I hope this helps you out somewhat

im just looking to do the deal and maybe drive the audi if i cant sell it. my daily driver is a bagged s-10 xcab just dont really want to drive it in the winter. the civic just has small probs it was being built as a track car. aka no power anything no ac no cruise no sound deadener and what not. bodys good no rust its got the jdm b16a its a quick little car just nothing daily driveable in my eyes. i got all my money going into the s-10 so the audi would be left stock with the magnaflow muffler and some tint maybea small stereo. the audi now is dead stock with 128,000 miles on it and looks good in pictures. i get to see it tomarrow night for the first time. heres the pics he sent me of it

If you don't plan to mod, then I would definitely go with the 2.8 for thereliability. Don't get me wrong, the 1.8T can be a very reliable car as well, but if you can get a good deal on the 2.8, then go for it. Plus, the heated seats will be nice to have in the winter!! lol.
