Hey everybody, as you can see from my handle I have jeeps and this will be my first car, if i buy it. I just want to know if 5000 is a good price for a 1998 A4? I'm i about to get taken for a ride or what?? Hell if it is a real bad idea call me and talk some sence into me before I drive the hour to look at this car. 757 332-9718

 

With over 200k $5000 is way too much. I wouldn't pay more that $2500. There are much better deals out there.

Thanks for the input. I just went and took a look at it and that person needs to be shot for treating a car like that. He claims that he is only the second owner but has no maint. records. the car looked nice but my jeep with 230,000 drives 10X better than that did. The "sportshift?" did not work, sounded like both front wheel bearings and/or hubs were going and the list went on. I wasnt expecting perfection but at least a well cared for car.

I will be looking for an A4 or A6 becuase I love the way it looked and sitting in it, I can see why you guys say it is a sweet ride. Just wished I had the chance to see it before the beating took place.
