Last week, I rented a 2006 A8 Quattro from Europcar laden with every option available.
My problem was that at 250km (or 155-160 mph), I was near 6000 rpms in 5th gear and it would not shift into 6th. Is this car speed/gear limited at the upper end or should I have stayed with it longer to let it shift? The autobahn is more congested these days and sustaining decent speed is difficult with traffic. My guess is that I needed more room. What top end has anyone gotten in 6th? I'm curious.
