69 Fingers says whats up!
Hey Guys, Im new to Audi. I just scooped up a 2005 Audi S4, and I freaking love it!
If someone can point a newb in the right direction; I was looking to change my brake pads and wanted some general info about it.
I browsed in the DIY section and it showed there were zero postings. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Welcome...
Well first of all...Audi brakes suck. The rotors warp easy and the pads produce alot of dust and that sucks for your wheels.
You have to decide how you drive after you have the S4 for awhile. Then decide if solid, crossdrilled or slotted rotors will work best for you.
Not all pads are created equal and you pay for what you get. There are street pads and different levels of racing pads...more research for you to do.
Have fun...
btw, I have Zimmermann (German high quality) cross drilled rotors and PBR Ceramic pads. My setup is 10x better then the oem crap from audi. It produces very little dust and the braking is stellar.

Welcome to the forums. The guys in the S4 section should be able to help you more in depth when it comes to your question.
However, the two most popular pads in the community are Hawks and Carbotech. I am actually running Carbotech my self with my stock brakes and I am extremely happy with them. Also I want to mention that Carbotech does not create that much dust, which is a great thing as I like to keep the wheels nice and shinny.
