87CoupeGT
I just bought a red 87 coupe GT from a friend for 100 dollars. It has some major rust and some dents here and there. It has 220,000 miles on it and still runs like a champ in exception the the digital dash board that reads engine temp blinking overheating. I have been driving it for two weeks like that and it has not blown up (650 miles). I have learned they are watercooled... Any tips on the overheating indicator?
This is my first audi. I am 22 and have owned a 1991 toyota corrolla, 1995 subaru legacy, 1994 volvo 850, and now 1987 AUDI COUPE GT. With 220,000 miles is it worth it to bring her to the body shop, do some detailing and soup it up? This car I have only had for two weeks and I have had three compliments by some hot ladies that they like it, or in one case "cute". I could only imagine if it was cleaned up.
All replies welcome!

Dakota
