A4 Avant
I got a '98 A4 Avant a couple of weeks ago. I love the thing. It is one of the nicest cars I've driven ever.
Its a wagon but it has power to back it up.
Right now everything is stock but I was planning on doing some mods to it. Need a performance chip, engine tuning, was going to tint the windows, new rims, paint the calipers, new exhaust, thinking about a nice mesh grill, euro taillights, and some xeon headlights.
If anyone knows of anyone that has some things i'm looking for please let me know...or if you have some things yourself.

i'd start my own thread, but I just got a 1998 A4 avant myself and joined the forums yesterday. sweet place.. hope to get a lot of useful information here.

it's an automatic with the V6 and 82,000 miles, but it's in amazing shape! interestingly enough, this is the first car i've ever 'owned' (been driving a family car or "dad's last business car" since I turned 16 till now)
the previous owner did all his suggested maintenance so I think I can expect this to last a long time. the test drive went great and the only real problems are a missing grill under the driver's headlight and some rusting molding strips.

I got some special 3M tape to hold it on in the short term, but I'm looking to buy some new kits of it to just get it replaced for good. I checked out the sponsored sites but only found them at one place.. and even then I couldn't tell for sure if it included all the clips / screws I need (or even if it was black!)
can someone help me get the right molding strips?

sounds like there isn't as many mods available for the 2.8L, but I'm still pretty happy with my decision.. fuel economy isn't as much of an issue for me as reliability, as I take the train to work (This is primarily a camping trip-enabler and grocery / home improvement supplies getter)
