A4 nube already in trouble
Hey I'm both new to the Forum & Audi's in general. Bought a beautiful 97 a4 quattro for my 16yr old Daughter, but she could not learn to drive the manual trans! OK though because I fell in love with it and am keeping & restoring for myself! The problem is it needs control arms, and it seems like a good idea to just buy the s4 upgrade kit and replace them all as the car has 100k on it.
I'm an electrical engineer & worked my way through school @ my best friends Exxon so I can do some repairs, have all the tools from compressor & impact tools to ball joint tool. Has anyone recently done this job? If so how hard was it? Can a weekend car geek like me take it on? Should I? I got a few estimates & if I can do it I'd rather save the money, who wouldn't? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg7788

it is 100 % do able the only thing i suggest when own a audi is make sure to have plenty of T sockets and star, hex tools around you will need them more then you thing oh and if it has a hex in the middle of a socket style bolt with a hex key in the middle try to use the hex key first you are gonna need a big one for those axle
