Hi Can anybody help me 1999 A6 2.5 TDI.on start up ABS flashes with the red symbol of worn brake pads after a while will go out and swop to the ASR light on the dash had it checked for the fault code which came up as18259 CAN-BUS POWER-TRAN MISSING MESSAGE ABS-ECU fault code P1851 ERROR OCCURS INTERMITTENT have checked brake fluid which is Ok checked brake pads which are Ok I have vag-com with a list of fault codes in but not this one

 

P1851 = CAN data bus, ABS - incorrect signal probable faults are ABS trouble codes stored ( clear them ), wiring, matching resistor in ECM
