Trying to decide what to buy. I have a CLK500, which I love, but I am looking for something new - consolidating to one car. One, which is four doors, sporty, but big enough to carry 4 to 5 comfortably.

The S550,has the latest technology, and very nice inside. It responds very nicely, but driving it is like driving a tank with best power steering in history. The A8, and I guess the S8, are much sportier, inside and out. S8 did not get the best writeups, and only comes with performance tires - so in bad weather, not optimal.

Anybody own a new S8? Any help?

 

You can always get different tires for the S8 after you purchase it.

 

True,. but that is a pain in neck. Same with the CLK and they only make 20" Winter tires.

It will better than the CLK, because of the AWD, but not as good as all season.
