Hi, I recently bought an A6 from a car dealer as a trade sale, it runs well and is reasonably tidy. the car is a N reg saloon, 2.6 V6 auto with 175K on the clock.

Anyway the problem is I can't get the boot lid open. I only have one key which does not have the remote unlock button on. It will lock and unlock the car from the drivers door and the boot lock.

I have tried to get in the boot from inside the car but cannot see how to remove the rear seat backrest, I thought if I could get the parcel shelf out I might be able to get to the boot lock.

Can anyone suggest anything I could try, Many Thanks.
