Hi I have a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8l 30v v6 automactic with tiptronic. My friend has a 1.8t automatic without tiptronic tranny so i wanted to know can i swap the motor and will it bolt up to my tranny. and what i would need besides engine ecu and wireing harnness

 

It will swap. But the amount of work involved in changing the engine, harness & ecm it would probably be best to just buy a car that has the motor & tranny you want.
The tcm would have to be matched to the engine also.
