Default Audi won me over BMW, Inifinti and MB!

Hey guys,

After 6 months searching and test driving I finally bought my very first Audi.
For close to 6 months I was struggling to decide between G37, BMW 3's or C350, I wasn't even thinking of an Audi, until I saw an A5 and loved it, went to an Audi dealer last week and when I found out that I can't even test drive an A5 and the waiting list is between 6-9 months for Canada, I test drove the A4 3.2 and fell in love. This Saturday, I bought the V6, Black/Black, with Drive Select and everything except S-Line and Nav, and ordered 35% tint and paint protection. With taxes came to $62k CAD but I also will received $2,500 to pay off my old lease and first 2 month free. Is this a good deal for Canada?

I hope that I've made the right decision. My current car is an Altima SE-R which is a fantastic car, the A4 can't keep up in acceleration but I'm hoping to be more supperior in other areas. Wish me luck!

so you paid $50,000 American ?

I wouldn't buy a brand-new A4 for 50 thousand

Welcome to the forums!

In the US, based price for the A5 is $40,000. With some stuff added to it, it could easily reach $50,000. Also you mentioned there is a huge waiting list for it, in which if they let you first on the list, there's some type of "fee" they added to the price.

Post up some pictures!

The unitary prices in the U.S. are usually lower than in Cananda, then you have the Foreign exchange and then 13% federal and provincial taxes. I believe they also charge us more for PDI, Freight and bending over in Canada!

I finally got to test drive an A5, but I wasn't as impressed inside as the exterior. My head was touching the sunroof glass and I don't think even a 5 year old could sit in the backseat.

I'll post some pictures when I pick it up and the snowy days are over!

Great choice, the A5/S5's are visually one of the more attractive new cars on sale today. Up here the issues are the same, you have to buy one sight unseen due to demand....I think i've only seen one locally.

Hope you enjoy, should be a great car for you.
