Default avant80@2.6

Got the car all timed in and running good but as I back up and stop the engine will stall. I restart the engine put it in drive and aply the gas and it wants to stall but If I hold the brack and aply the gas it does not stall out. It has new fuel pump,Filter,spark plugs and wires, distributer cap and distributer.... Could you give me some insite please. 1990 Audi 80 2.0L SOHC

what is the rpm at idle?

I would be looking at the (IAC ) idle air control valve, check its getting 12 volts with ignition on and see if the pipes are in good condition

rpm is good so ill put it down to the IAC and a common issue with these babies ( power loss for what ever reason ) mine did the same so I put switched voltage to it so it came live with the ignition on, it also might need cleaning out

Got 12.18 volts on blue with black tracer. Pipes are in good condition. I`ll clean IAC and see what we get
