Default BOV and/or DV Valve?

I know that goin with a diverter valve is the best way to go for efficiency, reliability, function..etc, now I herd there is a hybrid diverter valve that recirculates the airflow and releases into the atmosphere enabling the "woosh" sound. Now is there a brand that makes it and is it a quality part? Also, which aftermarket BOV could be used without causing the car to surge, run rich or have problems with the air/fuel ratio..etc. I know you would need a recirculation kit. But is there another option to go with. I kinda like the whistle sound, just dont want to experience any engine complications. Also when is an aftermarket bov needed. I kno that additional mods are a must, but is there specific mods needed to support an aftermarket bov?...btw i am in the process of trying to get a 02-04 A4 1.8t quattro...and i have plan of what i want to do, just need some helpful tips.

the only think that will work the best on yoru audi is a diverter valve. it cannot vent to atmosphere or you will have problems. get the forge rs, stratmosphere hyperboost, or... there are plenty out there. search for dv and you willl get lots of good info. you will need to get a new dv after you chip your car. just a word of advice i would start calling it a dv becuase people on here dont like bov even tho they are one in the same. happy tuning

Just get a diverter valve and an aftermarket intake. With the intake you'll here the "whoosh" sound and with the diverter valve you won't sacrifice reliability or performance.

i had a good feeling that would be my only option...i was either going with a Bailey DV or a Forge 007 DV...do these Diverters give off that "woosh" or a slight sound...or is that out of the question, i assume they perform like the stock DV but as a better quality part?

Also, the DV valves have different spring rates, which spring rate is more suitable for daily driving?

well the reason y you dont get the wosssh noise is because the turbo dosent produce much boost and the dv is recirculating. the bailey dv and the forge dv are both great. cant go wrong with either. you wont need to change the spring rate with those 2 dv's. they perfom just like stock but they are much stronger. teh stock one leaks and will fail if you up the boost

The "whoosh" sound also loses some of its audibility by going back through the stock intake, that's why an aftermarket intake will make it louder. I have a Forge oo7 and although it is just better quality than the stock one I love it and have no complaints.
