just the other day i got an 01 Audi 1.8 A4t. white on tan interior with black doors and floor. inside and out is %100. bought for around 12.
got a few questions. how much boost is the turbo? anyway to get a cheap chip to make it more? anything inexpensive i could do for the turbo? this is the first turbo i have had, dont know much about it. i understand how it works, basically just pushes more air into the motor or whatever. anyways, i realy like it. havent had a 5speed in a while so its nice to rip around town again. also, i thought i could swap out the 01' radio for a newer one, or atleast a Navigation screen with radio and cd player. just found what to look for and they are like 600-900 bucks!! i would have never guessed. guess thats why i have always had american cars. heh. anyways, just wanted to throw a few questions out there, also to introduce myself.... American factory radios cost just as much...especially Navi. Just go aftermarket on the radio and you should be happy. Chips usually run about $500....APR/Neuspeed/GIAC...etc are good ones....search around. This site is full of good reading. oh and it's A4 1.8T ..did you get quattro? Somebody might be able to answer this better, but I think boost is around 5-8psi?

 

it isnt a quattro. as far as the boost psi.. can i do anything with " the turn of a screw? " basically i am asking if i can just tune whats in there to get more out of it, i know factory never uses %100 of anything...?

 

nothing with the turn of a screw I don't think. Everything has be adjusted to compensate electronically...A chip will do it for you though.....
