Hey everyone. My name is Chad and I am new to Audi's. I just bought one yesterday so I figured I would join a forum. Here's a little story on how I got to this point.


So I've always liked Audi's but never owned one. I have always been curious to how they drive and what not. A while back i detailed my bosses A8L. Forget what year it was. But it was amazing and i loved it. That raised my curiosity a bit more. So lets go a few weeks back. I sold my Jeep I had. It was nice but got horrible gas mileage and was beginning to have problems. So long story short I sold it. I wasn't sure what i wanted to get. I looked at Lexus SC300's and a few BMW's. Then I thought about Audi's. So I looked at a 99' A4 yesterday. I liked it so I bought it (for $3000) Not a bad buy I think. I figured why not get something different and maybe I'll like it. Turns out I do like it and am pretty glad I purchased it. It does have sorta high mileage (maybe not for Audi's). But anyway here are the specs:

1999 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L 5spd
Back w/black interior
204k w/new motor with 50k or so i was told
basically all stock.

It does need a few small things which I'm not worried about.

As it sits it needs:
- Valve cover gaskets
- Temp sensor (I think)
- Rear brakes

I believe that's all the car needs. But right now the check engine lights is on, abs light and brake light. Not sure what it needs due to those being on. Hopefully nothing too bad. My knowledge on these cars is very limited so any help or advice would be great!
