Default First Time Audi Owner

Bought a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro a week ago. Haven't owned a car in over 15 years (offroading is my first passion), bought the Audi for commuting to work so the big truck has to stay at home.

Just wanted to introduce myself and I'm sure I will be asking questions that I don't find in searches. I really do like the Audi so far, but it's taking a little to get used to though.[sm=smiley16.gif]

Good color (black was my first choice, but I couldn't find any in decent condition), and of course, welcome to the forums.

Auto/Tip or 5-spd?

I agree, can't go wrong with brilliant black. Welcome to the forums.

Nice car. Black always looks good.
What truck do you drive for off-roading?

Thanks for the welcome guys!! Looks like a cool place to hang out.

Cameron--It's a 5spd--I think I might need a clutch in the near future--it's almost all the way out before it grabs. Know of good place to get the parts?

QuattroGT74--It's a 1977 Dodge M880 (W200) truck. It's undergoing some major changes right now. Hope to have it on the road/trail by the end of the year. I've done alot of the work myself, but it's at a buddy's shop right now getting a new drivetrain.

Here is a pic after a weekend of getting the new color sprayed on--it was white.

Yep perfectly normal. My clutch is brand new and it releases toward the top.

Awesome car, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If you don't like where your clutch engages, try and find a clutch stop. If you can't find one, having one fabricated would be an easy job.
