A good ride - SE OR S-Line?
Hi,
I'm new to this site but not to Audis. I currently own a 2005 A4 cabriolet 1.8T sport, which I am very happy with, (although the low profile tyres make for a very firm ride and cause the vehicle to track into depressions in the road), and am currently looking at buying a 2007low mileageA4 avant 2.0TDI 170PS(BHP) 6 speed manual, (stick shift),as an additional vehicle to replace a VW Passat sport.
The question, S-line or SE, the S-line is the more appealing due to the sport kit, (including sports seats and styling),but I am concerned about the ride.
S-line available with different wheels/tyres, R18, R17 or R16, I have test driven one running on 18s and it felt very firm and choppy on anythng other than smooth road surfaces. I am wondering if I should go for S-line with the R16s or look at an SE without the lowered stiffened suspension but am worried that the handling will then be compromised in return for betterride.
I would be interestedin anyones comments.

RE: A good ride - SE OR S-Line?
heres what its lookin like, of it were me I would go for the sportyer s-line with the great looking front end on 18s. But for you since you want to go with the smoother TDI instead of petrol it sounds like your looking for more comfort and less sportyness which is cool so go for the SE. it all depends on what your looking for. as far as rims and tires it wont make much of a difference dont forget the quattro will go with the contortions of the road so dont look for too much of a difference when looking at rim size. (17 sould be just right).
