What an incredible experience. Prior to my current "baby", I had 2 Accords and an Explorer. The Accords were extremely economical and reliable, but absolutely no charatcer. Im not sure, but your car might have a fuel octane sensor. In this case, you would be able to run 87, it would just adjust for it and make less power. I use 93 in my '98 1.8T because my manual tells me to. If you're going to do agressive driving and if your motor will see higher levels of boost, its best to use the good stuff.

Hey man, thanks for the quick reply.

Now that you mentioned it, it does have a sensor. I'm an idiot. I'm new to the German circuit, with a lot of studying to do on my own car, but I look forward to a lot of good advice.

well it wont hurt the car really, it just means that if you use 91 or 93 or whatver is in your area, your car will run better with a higher octane. Always 93 for my baby. I want to get the race program for my APR chip, that way 100 octane will give me a little extra kick.
