I'm new to this forum but not to Audi. I have owned Quattro's almost continuously since 1985. Normally I replace them with a newer model every few years however back in 1998 I bought my mother an A4 Avant 2.8 which she loves. Now she is legally blind and cannot drive, however she still prefers that when we (my wife and or I) drive her somewhere, we drive her car. So that is how I have come to this forum. I've got an 11 year old A4 which does not get driven very much but due to its age is starting to require more and more attention.

I'm a pretty decent driveway wrench, I have raced motorcycles, sports cars and off road trucks so I have a fairly broad experience base.

I'm looking forward to your help and hopefully I can provide some in return!

The 2.8 is a reliable engine so you shouldn't worry about it too much.

 

I also agree, A4 is a rrust worthy model. I thk u sud get rid of this fear. Its a long lasting car
