Heater Core vs. Water pump
Good Afternoon All,
I recently had my timing belt replaced in my 2003 A4. A week later my heat stopped working. I returned to Audi, and they stated it was my heater core. They did 3 back flushes, and apparently they were unable to unclog it, so they replaced my heater core. A week later same problem is still present. I decide to go somewhere else, and they stated my water pump was leaking. This place also showed me an oil leak, and a bolt just randomly laying on this pipe.
My question is this, would Audi have been able to identify a leak in my water pump, while conducting several back flushes on my heater core? I spent 1K and some change to have the heater core replaced. Wondering if it was my water pump all along....
Any insight is appreciated!!
