Hey everyone, i just registered about 5 mins ago. I bought a 2000 red s4 two days ago and i just now got out of it long enough to check out some forums. I absolutely love it! My old car was an integra gsr, the s4 pulls probably twice as hard, it's roomier, quieter, handles better, more attractive, more comfortable, AWD!!!, basically it's everything better. It's a 6 speed manual, tinted windows, 18's from an '06 s4, and bone stock otherwise. The only two things that don't work are the cruise control and the headlight washers.......... I plan on first getting my ipod to work through the stock deck ( i really don't want to put in an aftermarket deck), then i'll probably chip it, after that - cat back exhaust, then who knows. What i do know is that i'd appreciate some help and friendly advice along the way, and from the looks of it i can find that here! Sorry for writting a novel as my first post....

 

cruise control is a common problem, you can either try to clean the switch with some contact cleaner spray while moving the switch back and forth, or if that doesn't work (it didn't for me) you can replace the whole combination switch. here is a link to a helpful thread-

Sweet looking S4 you got there, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with. I always had a soft spot for the integra, I was saddened when it was discontinued.

 

did you get a good deal on it? how many miles

 

You may already know this, but the headlight washers only work when the lights are on, at least on my 98 Avant...so sayeth the manual.

get ready for attention from coppers, they seem to go for the red cars a lot. one of my cars is a red car, boy, that sucks!
