WellI've been a memeber for a month or so now and have been search all over this site and I finally just bought my first Audi over the weekend and all i can say is WOW! I got a 1998 A6 2.8 30v, Its a very nice car with a few things wrong here and there but i love it it handles awsome and drives so nice and smooth! Well it has 105,245 miles on it and i asked about previous records and the dealer said they had none so I just don't know when the T-Belt and water pump were replaced last? Any suggestions would be great! Also I did try out those nice headlight washers and the darn covers for them ended up on the interstate on the way home so if anyone knows were i could get some new ones that would also be great! If you're not sure how long ago the belt was changed, it's best to bite the bullet, and get it done.
If the belt breaks, it costs many, many more times the amount to repair the enginethan the price of a timing belt job.
Check with Shokan for theheadlight washerparts you need, they most likely have a car like yours, and the same color so the parts will be used, cheap, and will already match.
