My main screen is out and I don't know the problem. It hasn't worked since I have owned the car its a 2000 a4 quattro 1.8t and I wanna know how to fix it can anyone help me

 

for future reference-try posting in the b5 forums for specific issues relating to your car.

anyway, the screen i assume youre taking about is the one in the middle of the gauge cluster. its very common for these to get lines through them as the display fails, or quit altogether. there are replacement ones available through various companies, but i think theres also a DIY for replacing the ribbon cable, which (IIRC) is the root of the issue
