Default Hey!

TT owner from Long Island, NY.

I was a happy TT owner until a week ago when my transmission went at 40,000 miles. Now Audi is charging me $4300 for a new one. Though I'm a couple months out of warranty, Audi should pick up the entire bill. I took the car in 6 weeks ago and told them the transmission was slipping badly, and after a 'thorough check' they found nothing.
'It has to get worse before they can diagnose it.'

Sorry to enter on a rant/complaint, but I'm pretty upset and frustrated. I've spoken to Customer Relations and had the price lowered (originally told $6900!!), but I coulda hadda Chevy with a transmission good for 100K miles.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks very much, and again sorry for the rant but I'm looking for help.
