I'm new here and I thought I'd introduce myself. I have a red German spec 1999 A6 that I bought a couple months ago. I live in Germany and let me tell you, these cars were really made to be driven here. Driving on the autobahn is such a wonderful experience in an Audi (well in any car really), and they handle all the small country roads just as well. I'm resisting the temptation to modify it while I'm here since it would be expensive to ship back and I may as well sell it and buy a new one in the states to modify when I get back.

 

A buddy of mine was looking into shipping a car over from Germany and after extensive research he came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be worth it. If I were you I would just buy another one when you get back to the states.
