i have audi a4, 2006. right after i got my car back from the 95k miles sevice, my car died on me in the middle of road, so i sent it back to the dealership to check further. at the end, the crankshaft was broken, so the engine needs to be replaced. my car's only 6yrs old, around 92k miles.. they agreed to give me a new engine but want me to pay for the labor. . my car is out of warranty, but shouldn't it be treated as a recall? the service manager even admitted to me that there's no way it's caused by driving habbit or the driver, it's a rare unfortunate thing just happened.......

i hate audi, i bought it because i thought it would be reliable, but i truely regret, the service's awful, i brought this to customers relation, she's not helping.

 

In all my years of liking cars, working on cars, buying cars, driving cars, I've never heard of a crankshaft "breaking."
