hey my names mustafa and i live in the st. louis area, i drive a 93 toyota corolla 4at (dad's old ride). ill be 17 in march 06. i love audis, however i'm surrounded by bmws. i'm not saying i hate bmws, but check this out: my friends got a alpine white 97 328i 4at, a friend's dad recently got an 06 330i 6at, another friend's dad has an 06 530xi, and an older buddy has a 97 323is 5mt. you can check them out in the RIDES section at www.stlhood.com but yes, i got another older buddy whose got a tricked out 02 TT alms 3.2 quattro. i'm kinda interested in purchasing a b5 A4 manual 2.8 quattro. im hoping to compete with my friends 328i. id like to be convinced that it wood make for good competition with it. yeah, and im incredibly impressed with the new up-comming RS4 and even the Q7.

 

If you want to beat him, you might have better luck with the 1.8 turbo. It's less stock horsepower, but the 2.8 is not as mod-able as the 1.8, and I hear you can coax as much as 50HP extra with a chip. If I remember right, it's only around 10 with the 2.8.

I'm not the person to ask (you'll have better luck in the A4 section), but exhaust, springs/coilovers, front-mounted intercooler, sway bars, brakes, headlights, wheels, tint.

 

Main thing would be a chip and exhaust, then an upgraded turbo

Most chips will give you around 50 hp and about 80 lbs of torque. APR and GIAC are the most common.
