Looking to trade/sell 325i for A4 Quattro...
I currently drive a 1994 BMW 325i and have been suddenly inspired to purchase an A4 Quattro. I came across an ad on craigslist last night for a '97 A4 2.8 Quattro that is in immaculate condition and if I remember right has roughly 125k on it.
2 years ago when looking to purchase my first car, I debated between the A4's as my dad has had a few Audi's and then I became interested in the BMW e36 3-series. I opted for the 325i because I read multiple times (trust me, I did my research) that the A4's would be a better driving/riding experience, but the 325i would be more economical when it comes to the repairs. Being 17 at the time, I went with the bimmer and don't regret it. I'm just really intrigued about the idea of changing out my car and getting an AWD car so that I can drive the the slopes in the winter (I live in CO and also live in the outdoors). What better than the A4 Quattro because it gets the same mileage as I'm used to and will be pretty fun to drive still, heh?
The A4 I'm looking at says that it just had the t-belt, water pump, and 'numerous other things' replaced. I'm not certain as to what 'numerous other things' means, but I will find out and post. I am hoping to go and test drive it today and would like to know if there is anything specific that I should ask about or look for engine or axle wise (struts, cv's, etc) that is common on the '97? I have also noticed that the '97 are possibly the most reliable out of the B5's engine-wise. Is that true?
Thanks guys and I hope to be on here regularly

I can't say much about the B5's other than I think they're a great car. I used to have BMW's and honestly Audi is one of the only other cars that I'd of purchased aside from another BMW. You won't regret it so if you find a great car, pull the trigger.
