might get an A4
hey guys, just joined the forums and hopefully the audi world. I've been into cars forever and have been modding a honda for about 6 years now. I'm a junior in college and decided to step my game up a little bit. I've got my eye on this 2002 A4 Quattro 3.0. Here's the link and some pics, let me know what you guys think. I think the price is a little high so i'm gonna work the dealer a little bit and get it down.
I'm going to check the car out on thursday, are there any specifics to this car that I should look for (besides the typical generic used car problems?)

Welcome to the forums!
I was in the Honda/JDM my self too before I got into Audis.
Anyway, if you're planning to mod the car engine-wise, I think it is best to get the 1.8T engine as there are many aftermarket upgrades available for that particular engine.
There are only basic bolt on upgrades such as muffler (not sure if they have full exhaust), CAI, etc. If you go crazy enough, there is a supercharger kit for it but this ought to set you somewhere close to 5 grand new and 2-3 grand used (not sure if the price has dropped more now). The supercharger kit is made by PES.
Anyway, let us know and keep us updated.

so i just took it out for a test drive and i was very impressed with the car. you can tell that it was very well built and it pulls strongs. the brakes were great and well its an audi so that says enough.
hopefully i plan to not mod this car, because i need a reliable car for a long time now, but sooner or later i know that its going to start. so maybe the smaller aftermarket scene for this motor will keep me away, or it will just force me to buy expensive parts.
