Default Might be getting an Audi A4

Hello guys, I'm new to the forums here and I'm also new to Audi's. I might be getting a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quartto. It is a 5 speed, silver with black interior. I need to know some things though.

The Audi has 95,000 miles on it, is that too much for that year?

What things should I look for when I go and check it out tommorow? Like, any known problems with the engine, body, ect?

Thanks.

don't know about the mileage but sounds decent.

Make sure the Timing belt , tensoner, and water pump have all been replaced, usualy done aroud 80k irc.
if not thats a 2000.00 repair bill your looking at.

ask if they have had to change coilpacks if so how often, not a major issue but some cars eat them up

oh, also ask if there are any mods, is it chiped?

check to see if they have records for all the service history.

listen to the turbo on the test drive make sure it sounds ok and is boosting in the proper rev ranges.
someone here with a 1.8T might be able to tell you this.

body - no issues unless there are dents or scratches

some general car stuff -
check to see if all buttons, window, lightsetc work.
tire wear - don't want to have to buy a new set of tires and alignment 1 month from now
break pads- ditto

good luck
