Hello everyone. First post and first Audi!

I just snagged this off the local listings. Its a high mileage Audi A8 from 1998.

She has 176k but full service records and 70% are highway miles.

My first german car was a 2003 VW Jetta 1.8T I bought brand new off the showroom floor, but times got really tough and I sold her to pay off debts to square myself in 2010

Things have turned around, but I didn't want another loan so I went looking used... having dreamed of an A8 since I can remember, I decided to pick up one up with some experience.

So far everything I have read on the forums, I did the usual checks for issues with transmission and other common problems, but so far she's a winner.

I do need to look for a driver side turn signal cover, for some reason mine is missing, but its not caused by an accident, its like the hot weather broke the seal and it just popped off. One other part is the passenger side vanity panel/strip, looks like two snaps broke and its poking out a little.

Anyway, I can't wait to learn from everyone here!
