hey guys. i just bought an A4 1.8T (fwd) with a blown turbo, so i replaced the turbo with a K04, just for some more power, and it was running for a whole day, but at the end of the day, my oil light came on and started beeping so i put some more oil in, but it still turned on! i disconnected the battery for about 4 or 5 minutes and then reconnected the battery and turned on the car. everything was working fine, but then as soon as i sarted driving it (i guess after i gave it some gas) the oil light came back on! and then, soon after, the turbo cut off and wasn't boosting! i'm pretty sure it's a safety thing which is cool becausei don't have money for a new turbo! but not only did the turbo cut off, but now the engine is knocking pretty loudly! it still runs, but i'm not driving it so that i don't mess anything up or make it worse. anyone know what's going on? i need to get it up and running fast. thanks for the help guys!

premium! i'm running 92 or 93 octane right now.

 

forget the gas its an oil problem chances are the oil pump strainer is blocked or the pump is bad have the oil pressure tested (don't drive it ) and only run the engine for a short time when checking the oilpressure.

that actually could explain why the oil light came on the whole time and kept beeping! but tell me this... will fixing that fix the knocking in the engine? cause i don't have money to fix the whole engine! i don't have money for an oil pressure tester!

 

sounds like a sludge problem better check the oil pan and pick up cuz it might be pluged up hense the toasted turbo
