Default Nervous in Nashville

Hi Guys,
I've read many of the forums and am excited about posting and reading more about the Audi A6.
I purchase the most beautiful Navy 2002 Audi A6 about a year ago w/. 39K miles. Haven't had many issues that I couldn't live with i.e. fuses, bulbs, minor electrical until now. I had taken the car to a few places to check out the lights that had come on??
Sadly to say my babyfailed the emissions test.

Error OBD Inspection:
MIL Commanded ON
1 TROUBLE CODE REPORTED
P0421 Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank1)

I have researched this error code and similar sites fourHOURS and it might as well read
BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
I'd rather not relive similar horror stories. Suggestions please?

A True Girly Girl

This is most likely one of the O2 (Oxygen) sensors on the exhaust pipe. Bank 1 = passenger side. There are 2 sensors on each side, onein front ofand one behind the catalytic converter.
The other possibility is a faulty catalytic converter, which Audi would have to cover under the Federal 8 year emissions warranty.
