Default New A4 1.8T Quattro owner!

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I'm sure I'll be on here alot from now on. I just picked up a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with 69k miles for $12k. Not a bad deal I think. It's in almost perfect condition except for a few rock chips on the front bumper. Other than that it looks brand new. I'll be modding it soon, just need to save up for the ECU upgrade. I'm going to make a custom intake first(since it's easy to do) then eventually get an exhaust system(something relatively quiet but that has a good sound). Anyway, just wanted to say that I am happy to finally be an Audi owner, I've wanted one for 3-4 years now. It's good to finally be driving a well-built car.

Now, the above quote has me wondering. The lady that owned this car before didn't do any modifications, so were these wheels an option or did she actually buy them(I really doubt it). The other thing is since she was a typical woman driver all 5 wheels(including the full-size spare) have a bit of curb rash. It doesn't seem like any of it is major gashes, mostly just rubbed off paint. How hard do you guys think it'd be to take each wheel off, one at a time, sand it down and repaint it? I figure if I take my time with each wheel and do a primer, base coat clear coat I should be able to get the wheels looking pretty nice again. I'm just worried about the little crevices and stuff and getting paint drips. Anyone do this, how hard was it? I'd love to get these wheels looking nice again, as it's a shame for them to be all curbed up.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I will be sure to post any and all questions I have.
