New audi a3 owner
Just a few lines to intoduce myself.
New to Audi (took delivery yesterday) but always admired the marque really since I was a kid. Always wanted an Audi "Q" car but it's taken me a while to take the plunge.
Collected a new A3 Sportback 2.0tfsi s-line black edition yesterday, with the alcantara trim and comfort pack options.
Having stepped out of a "slightly" modified Focus ST3 (280brake) the Audi seems a little tame tbh but it's fit and finish really impresses + to be fair it's got reasonable power delivery and it's keeps the Mrs happy!!
I work in a large bodyshop near Manchester as a vehicle damage assessor (estimator to you and me) and up until quite recently raced a Formula 1 stock car up and down the country, with 620 bhp on tap and just about the same in llbs/feet torque it certainly kept me poor for a while, hence no Audi til now and they certainly focus the mind with another 20+ crazy so and so's trying to stick you in the wall on every bend! The knocks were begining to take their toll so packed it in and now concentrate on helping out and mechanicing now and then.**
Anyhoo if anyone has any views, info, advice or questions please post.
Regards all
Mike
**search bbc gears and tears if you want to see what we get up to at weekends but don't buy the tv hype please!
ps...oh and you are quite right if you are thinking I really wanted an S3 but couldn't afford one (or the divorce)
