New AUDI Chic from North Carolina USA
I have had my car (98 A4 1.8T) for about two years now. My first Audi and maybe my last.. Grew up on BMW's and always liked Audi's so I decided to go for it. Got a great deal from an elderly couple. But now at 115k, it seems like something else has to be replaced every few weeks. Is this normal?
My mechanic who is also head of the shop and a good family friend said Audi maintainence is expensive as hell and comes often after 100.000 miles.
Anyone else with similar experiences? Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful cars and drive great but I can't afford this!

Welcome. BMWs and Mercs are also in the same league of expensive maintenance. You cant compare maintenance costs of Audis to Toyotas. That is one of the reasons why BMW offers a 4 year maintenance plan to buyers of new cars. Because after that, the costs are all on the customer and they arent exactly just a few pennies.

Welcome tankbabee!
From personal experience, I never had any major problems with my Audi.
Keep up with regular and recommended maintenance and you should be set.
And incase anything happens, you can always ask the forums for opinions and it should save you some repair costs as some of us probably had gone through the same problem and perhaps found a cheaper way of fixing it.
