Default New to Audi - And Need Some Help!

Hey guys,

I'm new to the Audi scene here... obviously why I'm posting in this section haha.

I just got a steal of a deal for a 2002 Audi A4 3.0 6spd fully loaded.... couldn't pass it up. It is in absolutely perfect conditions minus two things. The gray part of the bumper is separated slightly, and the big problem... the water pump has failed and needs to be replaced.

The car starts, drives, but it is making this horrible engine noise sound. Who knows, maybe I need an engine.... but at the price I got it for I really can't complain... just need help!

I'm in West Chester, PA and have a performance shop there... but for GM stuff. I do mostly dyno tuning for GTOs, Corvettes, Camaros, etc... And if I could figure out how to make this Audi 2wd without too much work it would be on the dyno haha.

Anyway, if someone could point me to a write up on how to do the water pump and probably timing chain, I'd be very grateful. Also, if there is a parts store that doesn't rape you on prices, I'd love to have that information too.

Looking forward to making this Audi my daily driver ASAP!

I'll take pics soon!

Andrew

Crap... apparently the timing tensioner was bad and trashed the valves.

Looks like its engine time..
