New to Audi with a question (a million of these, right?)
Hello everyone!
I'm a happy owner of a modded 2005 Acura RSX Type S with 37k milesand recently I've been thinking about selling it and buying a 2000-2002 S4. I've done enough research to know that as a wrench turner, it's going to be a lot more difficult to work on than my Honda-derived K20 engine, but I'm pretty confident about moving on to a euro sedan. I know chips and cat backs run anywhere from $500-1000, and general upkeep of the engines and turbos need to be done religiously, or they'll fail and cost bigtime.
My question is this, if anyone has a general idea: What's the rough annual upkeep cost of an S4? Taking into account the common things that fail like TBB's and such. I'm just trying to get a general idea of how much upkeep will be while I'm learning how to do the work myself, since Audi's are significantly more difficult to work on than Hondas.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter, as I'm now 23 and seriously considering moving away from my coupe and going towards more of a higher-end sport luxury sedan.
