yo sup! guys this is quattrohead15 giving a huge shout out to all the audi fans out there. yeah! Um really just want to introduce myself too. of course i drive a 99 Audi A4 1.8T yeah! loving the car except for tonight my car as i was driving it the check engine light came on, the car drives pretty rough on 1st - 5th gear. My mind is thinking it could be a engine misfire and now the car is running rough. But has anyone had a problem with their audi running rough before. give me a shout out anyone out there that gots answer for me.

It is very possible that you have a misfire. usually the check engine light will "blink" on and off if it a intermittent problem. the only way to be sure what is, or is not, going on is to have your car scanned. see if you can find someone with a vag-com in your area to do it or take it to an auto parts place and see if they will do a "generic" scan for you. most of them will. Then post back in the A4 section, or probably try a search. In all likelihood your problem has been asked about and fixed by someone else alread.
