Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. Have been searching for threads re my oil consumption in my 09 Audi A4 Turbo Quattro. My #4 cylinder went out at 18k and it was fixed under warranty. Prior to that my Audi never took a drop of oil. Now I'm adding a quart constantly. At the beginning it was monthly almost to the day. Now I'm at a quart almost 2 - 3 times a month and barely 500 miles. I do travel down a very steep grade (6 miles at 7% grade canyon daily). I'm thinking I'm getting oil buildup. When I get to the bottom stop sign and accelerate - blue smoke every where. It's so embarrassing I now stop earlier and blow it out before I get into traffic. Anyone have any ideas? I've checked with 2 different dealerships and they say the car is consuming the correct amount of oil for the turbo engine. I know the 2009 T Quattro is known to burn oil....I love my car but this is getting a bit much ! Thanks !

 

Your engine sounds like it needs the ring & pistons fix. Have your dealer do an oil consumption test. 2009 known oil issues.
