I just put a deposit down to hold a 1999 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro for the weekend. Going back Monday to make a final decision. I'm coming from a Subaru wrx so I'm extremely new to Audi's and the way they work. Any advice would be appreciated!

Be sure to spend some time in the A4 section. Read the stickies. Don't expect too much out of the 2.8 and you should be happy

 

Yeah while test driving I was a little let down it didn't compare to the wrx, but overall I think I'm going to be really happy with this car. Looking forward to taking a final look tomorrow

 

A little let down? A tuned 1.8 is faster than a 2.8 but still slower than a Rex. Only performance mod for a 2.8 is a s/c and that's for the 30v. Keep looking or be ready to sell. Lol

 

I'm not looking for a super fast car at this point. I need a car to get me to and from work and school and when I can afford the up keep for a modded STi I'll buy one. This 2.8 is the 30v but I don't want to get into forced induction right now. Just a solid clean looking car is all I'm after right now
