New found club
Hi guys, just wanna share with you guys of a get-together + clinic session from Club Audi Malaysia. It's a specially held session whereby all the "yodas" brought out their VAGCOMs, tools and kits and did a round of diagnosis, check ups, tips and all to new members who had just gotten some B5s or B5.5s
It started off in a very hot afternoon, members gradually came, then the banner was up, cars were checked, clouds streaming by, rains, had a cup of tea, and off we go. A quick but very educating session for new members.

Thanks ! It's actually very crucial for such sessions to happen here coz generally, people here had very very limited knowledge of cars, engines, science and technology in short, and since labor fees for servicing cars is almost non-existent, and only a couple of the elites had garages at home, not to say full sets of tool kits... hence these kinda session helps alot in maintaining our VAGs, especially the constant hot weather here, failure on water pumps, oil pumps, air con compressors, over heated gearboxs, turbo failures (mine just happened.... ) is something that we rarely dont see.
And i think the main difference on audi owners here in comparison to US drivers, is the age group, most were in their mid thirties to fourties, this is due to the relatively high selling price of cars over here, (around $70,000 USD for a basic 1.8T frontrak, without sunroof and all the extras) but a 2nd hand model, thou more affordable, will still be around $17,000 USD for a 1997 B5 turbo .... however, most car buyers here fork out this kinda money for cars here.... wat a sad sight. Anyway, i'm finish with the intro. do visit our site (a very simple forum for get-togethers) www.clubaudimalaysia.com/forum for a simple "Hi"
Thanks~ have a nice day !
