Hey there. I'm looking to get a new project and I'd really appreciate your input, as you know more about Audis than I do.

I'm looking for a new project.

I want to run a budget car into the 11's and be capable of being my everyday car.

I'd like to know what you would choose. I'm leaning toward a turbo 5cyl manual. Is there anything I should be looking for and avoiding as a starting point? Or am I crazy and it's not going to happen on any kind of budget?

I found a 1990 200 quattro sedan with high milage, but a turbo engine. What I'd like to know is if these engines can make400+ horsepower on stock internals, or if not, what needs to be upgraded.

Also, are the Transmissions up to the task? Are the awd systems capable of handling this much power? If one trans is better than another, I'd like to hear which one.
