New guy
Well, I'm an ex minitrucker. sort of a phase i went through i guess. but just sold the truck last weekend and picked up a 97 a4 1.8t with 73k miles for $5500, damn good deal if you ask me. anyway, i don't have any pictures yet (shame on me) but i took some with a friends digicam earlier today, just wating on him to host em for me. As for plans for the audi, I wanna have the ecu re-programmed, upgrade the exhaust, fmic, then for looks, upgrade to the projector headlights, possibly s4 body kit, and some deep dish 18" wheels. probably uprade the suspension with a bit of a drop and some stiff stuff. anyway, that's that, and i'm looking forward to my stay here on the audi forums. in the mean time, while i'm waiting for the pics of the car i'll post a few of the truck i just got rid of.

Welcome to Audi Forums s_racer2003!
Since you're new... check out the START HERE! (click this link) link to get a rundown of the lingo/vocab here at audiforums.
Then be sure to search the archives when you have a question. Chances are the question has been asked before (probably several times) and the archives will have plenty of information to answer your question. If you still need answers, please feel free to ask questions.
Don't feel intimidated; we are all a bunch of pretty cool guys (and gals). Feel free to post advice, comments, ideas, suggestions, and even pics.

You'll have a lot of difficulty with a deep dish application. The Audi brake calipers are outboard and require a lot of clearance. Using spacers is risky because of the change in steering and suspension dynamics and unsprung weight.

Consider this: You are in a whole new world of vehicle engineering. The engineering and performance is very different from a slammed mini show truck. While I like what you did to your truck, bear in mind that most of us here will be performance oriented first and cosmetic oriented second. You can get alot of cosmetic satisfaction from the A4, but I'd caution you if you think you can get the same results from the A4 as you did with your truck.
Just food for thought.

yes, i'm a performance minded person and always have been. however, when i purchased my truck, the only reason i bought the truck was because my parents agreed to loan me some money if i got a truck they could use on occasion. so i did. needless to say the ohv 2.2l 4cyl that came in that truck was a lost cause as far as performance goes, so i went all out on the looks. with my audi, i'm hoping to get it up to the neighborhood of 200 hp (which from what i hear is about all the stock suspension likes to handle) then do my looks/suspension mods, then possibly continue with an upgraded turbo etc.
edit: oh and thanks for the info on the deep dish apps, wasn't aware of all that.
